Up for auction with NO reserve is a classic post war slot machine called the Blue Bell. This model was made in 1949 by Mills Bell-O-Matic of Chicago, IL. This style of machine is also called the High Top, of which there were many different versions made. Ads from 1949 describe the Blue Bell as “A standard operator type (of slot machine) finished in blended colors of ultramarine and cobalt blues, Chinese red, brilliantly accentuated with modern ornamentations of polished aluminum. Embodies the famous Bell craftsmanship of Mills. Suitable anywhere!” Mills sold the Blue Bell in 10c play for $220 in 1949.

This 10c machine has been given a full tune-up by the Nations’ Attic. It plays smooth and all of the payouts including the jackpot work just as they should! This beautiful original example is very complete and plays just like it did in 1949. We just can’t stress enough how nice the machine is both mechanically and visually
