Here is this rare 1962 Popeye metal Lunchbox It shows rust spots and worked on latch area under the handle but the main surcaces with the graphics on look sharp. Between Aladdin, Universal and King Seeley Thermos they have made three versions of Popeye lunchboxes. The oldest and the rarest is this 1962 one by Universal. The other two were made in 1964 by King Seeley and the third by Aladdin in 1980. The book on lunchboxing shows $900 for a mint Popeye box and $560 for a C8 condition one. Although this one is not as good as either the above shows but it still a valuable luncbox for collectors. This rare item will be a nice addition to your collection!
