Item: 1964 Vintage Beatles Kaboodle Kit Vinyl Lunch Box

When I was younger….so much younger then today…….. I used this hip lunch box as a day tripper to the 1st grade. HA! Could’nt HELP myself there…Just looking at it has taken me back – thank you for saving it Mom! OK, all fun aside. As you avid collectors know not many of these vinyl over cardboard gems survived in decent condition. This one is VERY Good to Excellent depending on your personal rating specifications, with really minimal distress. Front lithographed photo is nearly mint with only one small thin surface scratch on Paul’s head (see pix). Color registration (dark brown over pink) is excellent and not off register and blurry like some, and above the photo is a a VERY LIGHT ghosting from a piece of tape that was once applied for a short period when this box was new.(see rest of story) All is square with no warping or buckles to the structure. Very minimal lifting of vinyl on the front bottom corners ( see pix #9), and right edge of lid (see pix #5) has a very clean straight seperation that looks like it could be glued flat again, but I shall leave that decision to the winning bidder. No tears or cracks elsewhere. Interior is pristine. Heres the ‘tape’ story: my Father had to replace the metal turning buckle with an eye screw, that still works perfectly, when this was practically brand new (due to rambunctious bus-mates) and it was taped closed temporarily and left this very faint mark. Mom went right out and bought me a new Pink version, (that I’m sure I still have somewhere) but I still preferred this Tan one. No rust on metal, in fact it is still shiny, and no cracking or seperation of lid from body. A really wonderful example of a very scarce piece of Beatlemania history.
