This is a vintage 1978 “POLICE PATROL” METAL LUNCHBOX WITH THERMOS. It was manufactured by legendary lunchbox company “Aladdin Industries”. It is complete with the correct matching thermos bottle. If you have been looking for one of these for your collection, then you probably already realize that this is a rare and hard to find set. There is not another one of these on eBay right now, and there has not been one of these that was complete with the matching thermos available on eBay in quite a while. The set does have wear that is consistent with a 34 year old lunchbox that was used. The matching thermos is complete with the original stopper and cup. The first listing photo shows how nice this rare set will look when displayed with your collection.
In the 2011 pictorial price guide book “The Lunchbox Kid”, this set is listed on page 87 with a value of $450 when in Near Mint condition. This set is not neart mint, but here is an affordable complete set for only 20% of that book value. The thermos alone has a book value of $125. Don’t miss out ~ these don’t show up often.
