Description by seller: “1923 Atwater Kent 4445a breadboard radio, better known as the Model 9. The set is original, it’s working, it’s in near mint condition, and it comes with a complete set of good (ie, tested and working) brass base, tipped 01a tubes. The orange/red mahogany board is beautiful, with its original finish still intact and no gaps between the main board and the endcaps.  No swelling either”.

It has never been on the open collector market for sale and in original un-restored condition. it came from the original owner family.  This model is so desirable that Philip Collins chose it for the cover of his book (last picture) on the Golden Age of Radios and indicated of all the radios in the book, this would be at the top of his list”.
