In June 2011, t sold for an amazing $4.6 million dollars and with the buyers premium it totaled more than $5.4 million in Los Angeles. This also beats the record price for another dress of Marilyn Monroe’s one which wore when she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy, that eventually sold for $1.26 million.

    For the most part anything that can come from Marilyn Monroe’s provenance always brings a lot of excitement to collectors fashion designers and her fanatics. The record sale price of this dress only proves that her items are still obsessively desired today just as they were back then when she was one of the most popular actresses of all time.
