Up for auction is a magnificent vintage U.S. Navy Mark V diving helmet. This helmet was recently purchased directly from a retired commercial diver in Alaska. This diver was also a noted ships captain, World War 2 veteran and took part in a number of historical significant events world wide. When we purchased the helmet, we were informed that this man has a book that will be published soon and a possible movie deal as well! We will provide the winning bidder with the original owners contact information.
This Mark V helmet was made by Schrader on July 1942. Out of the four manufactures of Mark V helmets during World War 2, only Miller Dunn is harder to find than a Schrader example.
