Here is a gorgeous Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, in sweet condition. Made in the USA in 1961. All original, with the exception of a couple of things. The guitar has been refretted with correct size frets, and a very good job, the volume pot has been replaced, and the back tremolo cover plate is gone. The finish has been sanded off the back of the neck, but the neck is not reshaped. It looks like different tuners may have been on at some point, but the originals are on now. A second string tree was installed at one time, but the hole is filled. The guitar has been well played, but not abused. All original finish, beautiful patina and checking throughout. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood slab fingerboard. Plays well, and rings nicely. 12/61 on the body and neck dates, both tone pots are dated 43rd week of 1961. Nice and light, 6 lbs 15 oz. The pickups measure 5.96 neck, 5.42 mid, 5.79 bridge at the jack. The pots are clean with no crackling. Still has the original “ashtray” bridge cover. There are lots of belt buckle marks in the back, and strum marks on the face. The electronics work 100%, no problems. The back of the neck has no dings. The frets show almost no wear.. Nice straight neck plays just fine. Includes the original brown hard case, all latches and hinges working.
