This listing is for an EXTREMELY Rare Altec Lansing Television. The model number ALC 201 Television Attachment and the unit’s Serial Number is 545 as you will see on the original Altec label. Please do not be offended by the asking price as I do not know the value of the TV other than it is very, very rare and at this time I do not know of anyone who knows about it and as such I decided on a high asking price with a best offer feature so as not to be sorry for having it too low and someone snatching it who knew what it was. From searching the web and speaking to some TV collectors what ever this TV is there were not many of them around because there is not one collector that I spoke to has known anything about them. I have tried to find out more about them but have run into dead ends. The TV came from an estate of an old Western Electric engineer who had passed away for several years before I purchased the TV between 5 and 6 years ago. It is possible he was around in the days when Altec split off of Western Electric and got this in the early years of Altec Lansing. If you have any information about this Altec TV I would appreciate hearing from you. I thought that I read somewhere that Altec started to get their feet into the TV market in the mid to late 1940’s but then just bowed out but just can’t find where I read it. There is also a Craftsmen Tuner that was part of the console. The TV is untested and sold in unknown condition and therefore Sold Completely AS IS with no returns. I would prefer a PayPal payment by way of PayPal’s E-Check funding source payment method. International buyers please note that PayPal is for the USA unless your country has e-check capability. Otherwise you will need to contact me in regards to payment. The buyer pays for shipping and handling/packing, there is a small international paperwork preparation fee of $10 for items being shipped outside of the USA.
