Image and description by by 1dukefan4: The item for bid is a very rare opportunity to add something great to that coke collection. The item is fresh from a local estate. The glass sign is a original as marked on the back a 1932 brunhoff coca cola advertising sign. As i said the item is marked on the back by the sign maker and also has the date of 1932. The paper on the back of the sign has never been messed with. The glass sign is in great shape. There are no chips or cracks. The bracket that the sign is in does show its age. The only ware to the sign is some browning over the c and o in cola. Its very hard to see. COCA COLA COKE 1952 ORIG HARLEM GLOBE TROTTER GOOSE TATUM Vertical Display Sign1952 Harlem Golbe Trotter Goose Tatum Coca Cola Sign. Offered on eBay for $2,895. starting bid on July 04, 2012. It had no bids and did not sell. Image and description by: treasure-questusa-

This is a Rare and Original Coca Cola Vintage single sided 1952 Cardboard Sign, featuring Harlem Globe Trotter Reese “Goose” Tatum which simply does not become available, and when it does… it is NOT in this condition.   Measures 16″ x 27″ on heavy cardboard stock.

Framed for over 5 decades, this one comes from my personal collection, which I am finally going to let go.  It was originally displayed in its wooden Coke Display frame in my fathers’ soda fountain and cigar store in Derby, Ct., (Tony’s Cigar Store).  Those wooden coke display frames hardly ever survived, and in fact, the general thinking back in the day, was that the wooden display frame was not worth even considering saving.  But this sign definately was thought of for the future, and here we are today!

My father loved it so much, that he put it away framed under glass, boxed to keep it out of the light.  I only recently removed it, and WOW, if this isn’t a 9 1/2 out of 10, nothing even comes close out there, ever… IT IS THAT RARE!

The field of this great example is in NM condition with only 2 locations showing a tiny staple hole in the coke circle (hardly visible), and shown in my detailed pictures;  and to the left of the coke circle at the edge.  Other areas in the edge which were hidden under the frame recess, show staple holes as well, but this is very minimal, and overall not visible unless up real close.  Just the edges in a few areas, show some paper damage from being inside the frame also.  Every portion of the edge is shown in complete order from top left, completely around to the same spot.  Close-ups of the Field are also shown.  Pictures show all the details accurately.  Nothing is missed.

The colors are bright, and clean, and in fact, this sign looks even better in person, as my camera, due to my lighting setup, cannot capture the brightness and depth of color evident upon seeing it up close.  It is really spectacular to see!

A once in a lifetime opportunity for an investment grade Very Rare Coca Cola True Collectible.

1900 Drink Delicious Refreshing Coca Cola Sign

Description by eBay Seller WorldofCocacola: c.1900 Coca Cola Embossed HILDA CLARK 5C tin Sidewalk sign, with VERY FEW KNOWN TO EXIST… The three(3) I’m aware of,besides the listed on in Petretti’s 12th edition Coca Cola guide which is in the Atlanta  Coca Cola Museum listed on pg 198 booked for 30,000 in 2008.. With the last two being sold in the Morphy 2008  auction for 55,000+ & Schmidt 2011 Auction for  47,500+ respectfully, those as well had damage including edge wear, nail holes and paint loss, bends and dents……..Personally I don’t see the one in  the Coca Cola Atlanta museum, being sold anytime soon,as shown in  Petretti’s Guide, also has damage, w nearly 20 nail holes and edge  wear, scratches & paint loss****.None that exist are in mint condition****,so keep that in mind, with this 4th one from my 40 + year personal collection.

Coca Cola was invented in 1886, but with expansion and demand growing  in the first few years.Coca Cola quickly realized that advertisement was critical to success and in doing so, issued  a series of three(3) Embossed 5c “HILDA CLARK” tin Sidewalk Signs, in the years 1898,1899,& 1900,with this being the third and final  “Sidewalk” sign in that series, and certainly the most desirable of the three produced.Made in the year 1900.this final Historical “Turn of the Century” sign, shows the 1st lady of Coca Cola “HILDA CLARK” sitting at a table holding a signed Hilda Clark  letter, while graciously holding a flair glass of Coca Cola in her other hand. The Colors still look great, despite the 113 year old imperfections.

This Historic Early c.1900  DRINK  5c REFRESHING, DELICIOUS, Coca Cola HILDA CLARK  embossed tin sidewalk sign, really looks great.Professionally framed in antique ornate gold with Dual edged Acid Free matting & Acrylic glass….Embossed at the top of sign: DRINK DELICIOUS REFRESHING 5c,in early “Roller Coaster turn of the century” type lettering, with an Early COCA COLA Embossed logo at bottom.Actress,Hilda Clark in stunning  rich pastel colors,Historical reference to the five bottling plants at the time which were :Atlanta, as well as,Philadelphia,Chicago,Los Angeles,& Dallas. The Hilda Clark Signature at the bottom of letter, along with the New England Agts: Seth Fowle & sons of Boston Mass, really complements the piece.Historically its hard to imagine something made 113 years still exist, what a story this sign could tell…..Its just got everything going for it..The details and color in lithography of this piece are simply amazing.
Total measurement w/frame is 25 1/2″ x 32 1/2″..The image size measures inside the matting is 17 1/4″ x 24..This early “SIDEWALK” sign would have been displayed outside Soda Fountain and Drug Store shops in the 1900’s to promote Coca Cola, which was still fairly new,and only served in a few Cities in the U.S. at the time. The beauty of these early signs were a way to attract customers into their Soda Fountain,Drug Stores & Pharmacies where Coca Cola was served by the glass for a nickel.

Drink Coca Cola Delicious and Refreshing Sign

Image by WorldofcCocaColaDescription by eBay Seller WorldofCocacola: This deserves some attention, here's what I know, decide for yourself..This is strictly for the Advanced Coca Cola collector . This is for a Very Rare Coca Cola 1924 Die-Cut Window Display Cardboard Sign, with very ornate design work"Self Framing" the outside image of the young 1920's Flapper girl who is holding a glass of Coca Cola in her hand. You would be hard pressed to find another in a lifetime of searching..while it may not be mint what is..The Petretti guide listed one has issues as well,if you look close, and is not mint, with some foxing on edges noticed with better color,BUT I do not know if that was restored as most are in the museum were restored ....What is impressive, is the intricate detailed artwork, I have yet to see on any other sign that Coca Cola every produced in this manner,as few had a "self framed image" concept. From and art & design perspective, this displays very nicely. The ornate antique gold framework and navy blue "dual edged" acid free matting, help accentuate and mimic this 1924 Coca Cola beauty with the soft pastels & flapper girl subject matter and bold Die Cut design creating a "TRUE PIECE OF ART" worthy of any collection......Its hard not to look at it..This really draws the viewer in..I find this to be the rarest sign to come up for auction in a long time,in Original condition ,framed ready to hang on the wall..Just gorgeous... From a "RARITY standpoint, admirers of early Coca Cola artwork will find This 1924 early thick cardboard die-cut is one of those"VERY RARE- HOLY GRAIL" signs you luck into, that few collectors, even the older advanced ones, can ever get there hands on or acquire for their own collection no matter how long they look.Early cardboard diecuts of this nature are all in private collection these days. The other known example I'm aware of, is in the Coca Cola museum in Atlanta, referenced and shown in Petretti's 2008 12th edition Coca Cola guide pg 150 it books at 8,500.00.With this edition the most updated, and most widely recognized by collectors. While that was 5 years ago since the book was published, the value continues to increase as most have noticed from the last & final Schmidt auction in March,as prices soared over these early pieces as buyers from around the world snapped them up.. The effects of Weather and time have destroyed nearly all of these early cardboard signs of this nature ,Don't wait on the sidelines for this one to pass you by,so be sure to "BOOKMARK" this one on your watch list, while you can... image by bmorris1010
