This is a wonderful old fan. I think that the blade are brass. The base is cart iron. It has been painted years ago and old green white speckled color. Looks like enamelware. This does work, but i would suggest to mreplace the cord if you are going to use it. The face cage at the bottom was broken years ago and welded or something back together and has come apart. A couple of the spoke wire have come loose from the frame. There is a name plate that has written on it westinghouse elec. & mfg. Co. Pittsburg pa pat tesla jan 27 ’91 …hassler feb 12 ’95 other patents applied for style no. 8855 volts looks like 50 altern 7200 on the back the little round thing has string wraped around it. Not sure why. The bottom has a wooden bottom added years ago. The on off switch is the bottom lever. I have tried to show condition in the pictures.
