    This auction is for an original 1908 felt pennant. It is from the venerable Vanderbilt Cup Auto Race. The pennant measures 28 inches long and 11 inches tall. It is in great condition for its age.

    It does have a few small holes see the image. It has three pieces stitched together and the makers label is on the back side. The label indicates “The Reproduction Company  20 West 34th St. New York.” This is authentic and not a replica. The pennant has has been stored for about a century inside a trunk.

    The 1908 Vanderbilt Cup Auto Race was the first time that an American automobile or #16 Locomobile won the race. The car today is stored at the Henry Ford Museum.
