The Seller westcoastrader described the item as: “This is an original prewar Gibson Florentine Flathead banjo that was in the personal collection of Curtis McPeake for 14 years and was on display for some years in the Country Music Hall of Fame. At one time or another it has been played by some of the most important bluegrass artists. The five string neck is a high quality reproduction made by Frank Neat, the original plectrum neck, which is in excellent condition, and the original tuners and original case are included as well. Mr McPeake’s detailed authentication is included with the banjo. The original flathead tone ring is a high profile heavy weight ring that weighs approximately 3.07 lbs. Photos of the ring are included here. The banjo comes with a five string red line case which is in excellent condition and is a reproduction of the original red line cases”

Definitely a very nice Musical Instrument that brought a lot of attention and a great price.
