I will offer the best in collecting . Watch every week for great featured items . What you are buying is a very rare version of the sparton mirror radios . An incredible working 1936 sparton model 558 etched cobalt blue glass art deco mirror radio . The is the rare 4 knob version with etched glass and deep art deco accents ( not the common 3 knob blue mirror version that does not have the top deco accents and front glass curved accents ) . Radio was designed by world famous industrial designer walter teague ( google him and see his creations ) . This rare 4 knob mirror radio with etched cobalt blue glass mirrors and its sleek sled design with wraparound chrome fins screams of motion , and has a cool art deco style with a cool machine age look . Outrageous , awesome , and extreme is the only way to describe this 75+ year old machine age radio . The radios extreme art deco style reflects the past bygone art deco era of the 1930s and 1940s . This radios condition is excellent , ( beware there are many fakes out there !!!!! ) all mirrors are original ( even the glass silvering is original ) with only slight average wear , with no cracks , chips , or breaks , the knobs are original to this radio . This radio is about 17 x 9 x 8 and weighs over 20 pounds . The radio with its almost 75 year old tube type electronics is still playing very well and tunes in several stations !! . The radio has a very unique design . So dont let this incredible and rare 4 knob etched glass sparton radio slip by , they do not come up for sale often . I have supersized the pictures so you can see everything.
