1976 ” Montreal Olympics” vintage “Canadian Issued” lunchbox & Thermos in GEM MINT C10 UNUSED condition WITH HANG TAG & issued by Aladdin Canada. Only issued in canada back in 1976 this is believed to have only been available in Quebec as a regional promotional issue lunchbox for the celebration of the 1976 Montreal Olympics. In fact this lunchbox was purchased from a lady whom worked the souvineer shop in montreal & purchased this & took it home & stored it for the last 36 yrs till i purchased it from her.. Issued by Aladdin canada & only in canada this is a rare lunchbox & thermos is Gem Mint with very rare Hang Tag which is just sooooo rare on it’s own as it is in both French & English !!! One of the VERY FEW lunchboxes issued by Aladdin that did not have a USA version metal & just soooo unique & rare. I can tell you i have been collecting lunchboxes a long time & especially the very rare canadian issued lunchboxes & i have never seen another example of this promotional lunchbox ever let alone in this condition !!!!. Just the nicest example you’ll ever find of this lunchbox & complete with the correct rare “Canadian” matching thermos stamped Aladdin canada. The canadian lunchboxes are soooo much rarer than the USA issued boxes as they had about a 10th of the production & being made of plastic with paper graphics sooo few survived as they were thrown out as if gotten wet they peeled or the box cracked very easily. This set is surely the nicest example i’ve ever seen of this desired lunchbox & a 1970’s classic.
