Much to the surprise of the hobby, upper deck released the first ever cards with a piece of a player’s jersey in the first series of 1997 ud basketball. Overnight they became the hottest cards in the hobby, obviously highlighted by this key mj #13. The odds of pulling a jordan were 1 in 55,000 packs! The colored borders around the patch window and along the edges of the reverse are often chipped and flaked, preventing a high technical grade. This particular copy is especially unique as the patch features the colorful nba logo (perhaps the only such example in the hobby with this feature). One of just 19 psa 9s to ever grade with nothing higher. As fine as they come, and perhaps the ‘best of the best’ 1997 ud game jersey jordan.
