Description by seller: “After leaving Mutual Studios in 1919, Charlie Chaplin signed a lucrative deal with First National. Mutual had paid Chaplin more than $600,000 to make twelve films and sought to renew. Instead, Chaplin signed with First National for $1.25 million to make eight pictures. Still in his twenties, he was one of the richest entertainers in the world”.
