This is an original Berliner Gramophone fresh out of an estate in Kentucky. I have oiled the motor and put two new gaskets in the reproducer. Other than that, this is 100%  correct from horn to crank. The oak case is excellent and has the original finish and Berliner sticker on the side. The motor works just as it should and the speed control operates fine. The only flaws I see are, the crank has a half moon wore place about half way up. Its not bad enough to ever effect the crank at all. Also the brake has the little round leather stop missing. The leather elbow has hardened and the hole has drawn together. The horn and reproducer still fit the elbow good but the hole between them doesn’t look like it would let much sound through. There may be a way to soften this up or it can be replaced. The horn is real decent with some scratches and paint loss. It also has a few minor dents in the bell and one small crack in the outside bead. The reproducer was missing the thumb screw and I put one out of a exhibition in it which I think is the exact same as the original. I call these flaws, But are very miner things to repair. As I understand this was the first of Berliners spring driven players, and there were only around five hundred made. The second model had a brass bell on the horn. I have tried to describe this the best I can, but look forward to any questions you might have. If you are a true collector this is very possibly a once in a lifetime chance to obtain one of these as original as this one.
