English Heinke Pearlier Diving Helmet ,Square Corselet,year between 1871- 1920. History Heinke became world famous with the Pearlier style helmet. These helmets featured a square breastplate. They were used in the pearling industry all over the world Over the years the company name changed: • C.E. Heinke, submarine engineer (from 1844 until 1871). During this period Heinke had 2 to 3 different trading names split around the family. • C.E. Heinke & Co., submarine engineers (from 1871 until 1922) • C.E. Heinke & Co. Ltd., submarine engineers (from 1922 until 1961) • That indicates that the helmet was manufactured between 1871 and 1922 • • Description • This English Heinke Pearlier Diving Helmet ,Square Corselet,year between 1871- 1920 Is an Authentic Heinke 12 Bolt, 3 ports , Perlier Diving Helmet . Serial Numbers 6820 and it reads C.H HEINKE AND CO. LONDON. the helmet is well over 100 years old. the over all condition is good considering its age. The valve housing reads 1908 the above screw on thenon return valve is missing. The brailles are a recast , besides that everything on this helmet is original The weight is 22kg = 49lbs IT IS A RARE FIND.
