This is Pinball Girls first auction of a pinball machine! My Dad who owns pinrescue and has been restoring vintage pinball machines full time for longer then I have been alive gifted me this 1951 Mermaid for my high school graduation. (all the beautiful rare pinball machines he has 1960 Music Man, EM Joker Poker, Pleasure Isle like new 1975 El Dorado’s and he gifts me this old clunker…….) just kidding dad. My hopes are that with the proceeds from this auction that I’ll be able to have fun this summer and spend some quality time down the Jersey Shore before starting college in September. 1951 Gottlieb’s Legendary Mermaid in as found 100% original condition except for the rubber and a few bulbs we replaced. 100% working condition including the 5 cent coin mech and the cute as can be animation unit. 100% original coils plastics art glass and paint no touch up anywhere. Hey they are only original once…… We gently clean the machine, freed up the steppers and gates, replaced the rubber and some bad lamps carefully raised up some playfield lens and she fired up and plays perfectly.
