Please forgive our lack of knowledge and definition on most things. This is from an estate we are liquidating and we have very little information or details. And the person who inherited the estate knows little to nothing also. Anything stated below is sometimes only a guess on our part but if indeed a guess, that is stated. Items that we have information on will be noted. We are under the impression that most of the parts were manufactured by Mills because of notes & such that came with all the items. Unless we specifically define otherwise, our best guess is that it is for a Mills machine. Again, we will sometimes not define with any details because we don’t know for sure what the item is for the most part and therefore we will let the bidders do that themselves.
If one item is shown, that is what you will receive and if multiple items are shown the same holds true. The auction is for what appears in the photo or photos. If the auction is started higher than a penny, it is just a guess and usually about half of what we have observed similar items selling for.
This is a nice old Mills Belomatic “Hightop” slot machine made in the 1950s in Reno Nevada, not in Chicago. Our research tells us the little owl in the top of the machine defines that. A regular Hightop has a different top casting and format. We ran a few quarters through the machine and it is quite smooth. There is no damage to the machine and all the nickel plating and polish is in fine condition. The beautiful old oak wood has a nice patina to it with great charm. Everything seems to be original including the heavy back door but the lock was missing. So we found one in some parts boxes that worked and installed it but the age on that is not known to us. Other than that, we have not done anything to this machine and we are selling it the way it came to us. Again, this is an old machine and not a reproduction. Great item for a collector or just a fun item to have for a den, office, or party room.
