This old porcelain Pontiac Neon Dealership sign is the RARE smaller 6 foot version and not the 8 footer. This is the rare version with the horizontal full neon striping with bull nose and double stroke neon on all the letters. When this sign is lit up it is an absolute show piece in real life. Without a doubt one of the top 5 most collectable Pontiac signs ever made. Pontiac is now gone from the GM line up and these old porcelain neon signs have skyrocketed in value. Truly a great investment. This sign was hung from the original Pontiac Dealership O’Farrell Bro’s that purchased it new in 1942 for their dealership. The dealership O’Farrell was sold to Bohn Pontiac in 1956 and closed in 2008. I purchased this sign from Mr. Bohn. I have included photographs of this sign hanging at the original O’Farrell dealership in its day and with the sign still hanging when Bohn purchased the dealership in 1956. It is truly rare when you can document these old signs from the original dealership. This one was taken down from Bohn Pontiac in 1974 and put into dry storage inside the dealership for over 38 years. The porcelain on both sides as well as on the bull nose is 100% original with NO RESTORATION or TOUCH UP and NO CLEAR COAT ever and displays in very high grade condition on both sides as seen in the pictures. Great color with great gloss. I have just installed all brand new four colors of neon, tube supports. I took detailed photos of this sign before I installed all new neon for your veiwing. Truly one of the finest in original condition you will ever find. Truly a killer show piece in real life with beautiful old patina.
