Description: Collectible, The Bride of Frankenstein is a 1935 American Horror film and first sequel to Frankenstein from 1931. The poster depicts Frankenstein’s Bride on the left interpreted by Elsa Lanchester, as she is looking menacing to the right side, where Frankenstein, interpreted by Boris Karlof, is standing, facing towards the viewer, with an empty undead gaze.
The poster also reads “more fearful than the monster himself!” which stands to indicate that the monster’s bride will in fact be more terrifying than Frankenstein himself.
The Bride of Frankenstein is one of America’s most famous Horror Movies which was originally created in 1888 as a novel by Mary Wollstonercraft. This is the only known Poster with this rectangular design also referred to as a Style D Poster. This is a presentation piece that was originally featured in the press book. This poster does have a fold and a few scuffs in the corners. It’s condition is estimated to be in Fine condition or better. It last sold on November11, 2007 for a record of $334,600.00.
