Up for auction is a copy of the star trek #1 (marvel) autographed by all five living original star trek cast members, being nichelle nichols (uhura), walter koenig (chekov), george takei (sulu), william shatner (captain kirk) and leonard nimoy (mr. Spock), and graded 9.8 (nm/mt) by cgc under its signature series label. The cgc holder is in great condition with no cracks.
For those of you unfamiliar with signature series, the signature series label takes the place of a certificate of authenticity, and with it you know that a certified cgc witness saw the comic being autographed by the person indicated, and immediately afterwards took the comic into his possession so that there is no doubt the autograph is authentic. In the case of multiple autographs signed at different times, a cgc witness will only release the signed comic at the time it is to be autographed by another person, and then takes it right back.
