Fresh to the antique steiff teddy bear market is this wonderful circa 1905 19″ cinnamon mohair teddy bear with original button. The button has the “f” that extends to the “e”. Has the shield-shaped nose. The black thread on the nose looks not to be original. I can see the brown orig. Thread under the black and also the original felt behind the nose thread. Has all the original 4-claws on each foot. The right arm paw has been repaired. Original felt pads on the arms and feet. Has the extra long arms and a nice hump on the back. Not sure if the nose mohair was shaved. There is mohair loss to some of the head and sides of the head as shown in the photos. The cinnamon mohair color shows fading in some areas. All other mohair is plush. Has the large feet with narrow ankles.the eyes are large black shoe buttons. The ears are the unstuffed, cupped ears. A great bear to take center stage in your steiff teddy bear collection
