This is a sword that only comes up once in a life time. I bought this sword from a Japanese war bride 10 years ago her husband had past away years before. I had an ad in the local newspaper wanting to buy swords. When I got a phone call from a women with a sword, when I got to her place she pulled out this sword and I didn’t really have a clue about it. Until I purchased swords of Imperial Japan 1868 – 1945 Cyclopedia Edition by Jim Dawson. What a great book by the way.
As you can see there are only 5 off these swords known by the author. The blade is very nice with a few scratches and very very minor chips. But my hat goes off to the people who take these great pictures of blades it is very hard. Please note the blade looks better then the pictures. It is signed Seki Ju Kane Taka …He is rated a 1 million Yen ranked sword. The handle is as tight as a glove and it clips into the scabbard perfectly. I never put reserves on items but this one I will have one. If it sells I’m happy if it doesn’t sell, I’m happy. Thank you
