    Print Friendly

Name of Collectible:  1900’s Fernand Martin “Bamboula” Black Tin Wind Up Toy France W/ Box
    Price: $8,100
    Seller: oldstuff1900
Description:Collectible, this toy was made by the French manufacturer “Fernand Martin” in the early 1900’s. It is called “Bamboula” and represents a young black boy doing some type of dance. It works well – when wound, the toy vibrates and the arms go up and down as if he were dancing. He also comes with the box which shows that it was No 179 and has the F.M. logo. The box does have some staining and a couple of repairs, including one small edge of the bottom of the box seeming to have been fixed or replaced with another piece of cardboard a long time ago. The toy itself is in very good condition but a little dirty and a few moth holes on the back of the shirt. The toy measures about 7.5 inches tall and the box is about 8 inches tall”.

Part included in 10 Most Expensive Collectibles on eBay in March

Definitely a very nice Toy that brought a lot of attention and a great price.
