Description by seller: “There’s very little known about this gorgeous stone litho one sheet. We can deduce that it was used to promote William “Buffalo Bill” Cody’s stage show, and that the story of Buffalo Bill and San Juan Hill – there is, of course, no evidence that Cody was anywhere near San Juan in 1898, but why let a little thing like facts get in the way of a legend? – was one of the plays produced by the “Buffalo Bill Combination” (the name was later changed to “Buffalo Bill’s Wild West and Congress of Rough Riders of the World”), a troupe that toured the US, regaling audiences with stories of the great frontiersman, from about 1893 to 1903”.
