    Description:Collectible In Good antiquarian condition in early sixteenth century one quarter alum-tawed pigskin rolled and single-tooled in blind, over thick oak boards, titled (now quite faintly) in manuscript to the upper board, sewn on four stout cords, the spine raised on four corresponding bands, forming five compartments; original hammered brass latch, catch and backplate present (leather strap renewed with modern calf, and now in good working order). 35 lines, in single columns, in Latin, in Schönsperger’s Gothica Black Letter Types 7:175G, 8:76G and 11:65G; capital spaces with printed guide letters, rubricated throughout contemporarily in red; woodcut title leaf depicting a Saint (Saint Andrew, suggests Bröenburg) and two pupils, with inscription: “Accipies tanti docioris [sic] dogmata sancti,” on a ribbon, touched in yellow (now rather faded), as with the Saint’s halo; pastedowns cut from two (rubricated) leaves of an unidentified late 1470s edition of the Imitatio Christi; lower board rather worn and scratched. The British Library suggests the text is reprinted from the earlier Heinrich Quentell edition (Cologne; 23 March, 1489)”.
