18th Century Meissen Candelabras
Artist: Johann Kandler
Age: Circa Mid 1700’s
Condition: Fine
Dimensions: 13.75″ (measured from base to top of candle holder)
This is a beautiful pair of 18th Century Meissen Candelabras. It is an allegory of the changing seasons. One candelabra depicts a small child and cloaked man warming up near a fire. The tree has ice-sickles formed. The other candelabra depicts a child holding a bird while the female is presenting a flower. The tree is decorated with large flowers blooming in the spring. The actual candle holders on both candelabras have a green tint with blue and pink flowers. The bottom of both candelabras have the Meissen crossed sword signature and numbers engraved as well. Both are original works.
This is a very unique pair because of its nature and condition. Meissen of this quality is extremely rare.
