Here we have a real Hell Creek Dinosaur Tyrannosaurus Rex Foot Claw. We were invited to dig over at a fossil site in Carter County, Montana and Fred found this there. This is only the 2nd Tyrannosaurus Claw he has found in six years of digging.
This Claw is in good condition; it has dark brown and black colors. It measures up to: 3 1/2″ long by 1 7/16″ tall and 7/8″ wide. It was found complete or together, but matrix separated the claw in the middle. It was taken apart and the matrix removed. It was glued back together with Cyanoacrylate adhesive. The fossils in this site tend to have more “river tumble” wear.
