Has all the usual signed hardware; lock, clasps, tacks, leather edging etc. Interior contains six drawers. Serial number 762246. Lock Number 056637”.

Description by seller: “Louis Vuitton Rare Small Steamer Wardrobe Trunk Painted Stripes 1900’s. Here is an antique wardrobe trunk, smaller then most which I assume means more rare. This wardrobe is 13″ high,  22″ deep, and 40.5″ long.  There is some tarnishing of the tacks, and discoloration of the leather strip around a few  tacks on the base only, we assume it was stored standing up on the base”.

Description by seller: “This is a  auction for a wonderful antique louis vuittons lv monogram steamer trunk with original inserts. The trunk has a very good interior condition. The exterior shows signs of wear and use appropriate to its age. The metal edges are dented, the leather has some separation along the top creases and hinges on the back. 3/4 of the main leather strap that goes around the trunk is missing. There is no key to tell if the lock is in working order“.

Description by seller: “Had in my possession 25 years.  Never been restored.  Comes with its own travel history, sailed the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth.  All sections are included and in very good condition.  Each piece is hand initialed clearly with LV.  Trunk shows some signs of wear.  All 4 wheels are in tact with little wear”.
