The Most Expensive Item in the Planet!!

Antimatter is unquestionably the most valuable single item on Earth. It is extremely rare and was first discovered in the 1930’s by scientist Paul Dirac.

Antimatter is also extremely powerful that if one ounce of antimatter was to be used as fuel, your car would not need any fuel for millions of years. It is also dangerously explosive, one gram alone would have the power of 2 or 3 Hiroshima bombs combined!

Antimatter is actually the opposite of matter. Since matter is all over earth it is almost impossible for antimatter to exist here on earth. However, scientist have been successful at producing antimatter by very complicated scientific procedures and have only been able to capture very small amounts. In fact, one ounce of antimatter would cost over 100 billion dollars to produce.

In 2010 researchers were able to trap the largest amount of antimatter ever or 38 atoms of hydrogenation. Scientist were also able to keep it stable for up to 1/10 of a second, yes one tenth of a second before it destroyed itself.

Antimatter is very similar to matter and only by experiment can it be differentiated.Once both antimatter and matter come together antimatter becomes destroyed. Basically, all of the earth is built up of matter so capturing anti matter for even 1/10 of a second is a huge accomplishment for mankind. Just imagine the possibilities and how dangerous it can be if antimatter was captured in larger quantities. Lets just hope it never makes it into the wrong hands!
