Description by seller: “This is an Original Brass Presentation Layout Tool manufactured by Disston & Morss Tool Works and patented by W. T. Fisher on June 23rd, 1868. According to Antique Trader Tool Price Guide in 2008, and valued at that time at $6,380.There are only three of these devices known to exist. This may be the third or possibly the fourth – I can’t be sure”.

Definitely a cool collectible capturing the number one spot for the highest sold Tool on eBay in the month of October 2013.

Description by seller: “This completely unmarked but remarkable jointer plane is of a form absolutely associated with Orril R. Chaplin, a Boston patternmaker and inventor of the late 1800s and early 1900s. He was issued at least 18 patents, but only one for a woodworking tool – his plane patent of May 7, 1872. ”.

Description by seller: “Little Giant 25 Lb. Power Trip Hammer.  Offered with no reserve. Fresh from the estate of an old machine / Blacksmith Shop. It is as found except for some light cleaning and oil. I have never owned or ran one of these, so don’t know much about it but will tell you what I can. It appears to be complete. Will need a new belt. Please check name tag in picture #11 for motor data”.

Description by seller: “Nickel plated Micrometer Surface Gauge. Made by the E. Walker Tool Co. of Erie PA. This came from a collection of other tools from the 1880’s. This is a rare piece for I haven’t found any others for sale that are like it. Doing a google search for “E. Walker Tool company” finds very little information“.

Description by seller: “All parts are original. The paint is 98%. No cracks or chips. The tote has been repaired. Small very light pitting appox. 3/8 long & wide. can be buffed out nicely. I think the pictures tell the whole story“.
