On January 07, 2013 a Collectible Jax Beer Lithograph Poster Sold for $2,370.67 on eBay
The Seller chicagobeer described the item as: “Collectible this is a 31″ tall by 25″ wide, VINTAGE and ORIGINAL, Colorful 1930’s LITHOGRAPH (from) Painting sign for JAX BEER. Jax Beer was brewed (post-pro) by the Jackson Brewing Company, New Orleans Louisiana from 1933 until 1974. This sign was located in a closed printing company warehouse find in Chicago. Other paper litho brewery pieces found included Heileman’s (Old Style), YUSAY Pilsen (Chicago) and Berghoff (Fort Wayne Ind.) along with other non-beer prints. This was the only one Litho found for Jax Beer. All pieces were from the late 1930’s and 1940″
Definitely a very nice Poster that brought a lot of attention and a great price that we decided to post it as one of our Collectibles Sold Highlights.
