On November 27, 2012 a Collectible Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk W/Brass and Leather Trim Sold for $8,601 on eBay.
The Seller dg60 described the item as: “Collectible this is a fabulous trunk, in excellent overall condition. The key is missing, but can be ordered directly from Louis Vuitton. The trunk has the expected light wear, but no damage. Its leather handles are dry, but strong. Part of the leather wrap-around strap, including the signed buckle remain. There is a slight warp in the lid where the lock is that makes sliding the top and the bottom of the lock together a slight effort. No missing tacks or other hardware. No initials or monogram on the sides”.
Definitely a very nice Trunk that brought a lot of attention and a great price.
