Original Star Trek The Next Generation Uniform.
YES, this is the real thing!
This Tunic was worn on screen by the actor John de Lancie as the mischievous omnipotent being known as “Q” in the 1987 season 1 episode entitled “Hide and Q”.
Any follower of Star Trek The Next Generation will know this uniform is one of a kind, and is VERY rare for several reasons:
Firstly, John de Lancie was the ONLY person in Star Trek The Next Generation to wear Admirals dress uniform. As such this uniform is the ONLY example of a screen worn Next Generation Admirals dress uniform anywhere in the world!
It is also a very rare example of a complete original William Ware Theiss costume. Bill Theiss designed the costumes for the original series, and most of his costumes from the Kirk era were disassembled and reused.
The display features an ornate Gold frame with anti UV glass to help prevent fading and deterioration of the uniform from sunlight. It also features laser cut mounts and graphics, and includes a screen shot of John de Lancie wearing the uniform in the episode. It has never been stored near sunlight or damp, and is in absolutely superb condition.
The reverse of the frame has been inscribed with a passage of their respective on screen lines, and autographed by Sir Patrick Stewart and John de Lancie.
