Here is a 1950s era Pontiac Dealership Factory Engineered Parts Porcelain Sign made by Walker & Company.

The sign hung from the rafters in the service bay area of a Connecticut Pontiac dealership until it closed in the 1990‘s. Then was stored in a barn until its debut here on E-bay. The sign measures 20 inches across and as you can see form the photos is very clean for its age.

A google search yielded very little information about this design type and size sign. I could only find one other like it, that sold a couple years back, was not nearly is such good shape and had six bullet holes from someone using it for target practice long ago.

The sign has some minor pitting and scratches, I’ve photographed the worst of it. The sign still has a covering of dirt and grim from 40+ years of hanging in a service garage. I did not want to rub the sign with cleaners, so I only removed surfaced dust.
