    The Bal du moulin de la Galette Painting was created by the French painter Pierre-Auguste-Renoire in 1876. It is in exposition at the Musée d’Orsay in París and is one of the most celebrated masterpiece of the impressionism movement. The painting depicts a typical Sunday afternoon at the Moulin de la Galette in the Montmartre district in París. In the 19th century, working class Parisians would dress up and spend time dancing, drinking and eating galettes until the evening.
