Description by seller: “The marine wildlife artist Robert Wyland, was born in 1956 in Detroit Michigan. He attended the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit majoring in painting and sculpture. Upon graduation, Wylands’ professors, Jay Holland, Russell Keeter and Bill Gerard, recognized his talent and encouraged him to move to the California coast where he could further develop his art. Wyland who paints in watercolors and oils celebrates underwater sea life in his paintings and bronze sculptures. He is also known for his conservation efforts”.

Definitely a cool collectible capturing the number one spot for the highest sold Painting on eBay in the month of October 2013.

Description by seller: “Any infringement of copyrighted material describing the life and works of Eustace Paul Ziegler in a previous eBay listing was unintentional and I offer my humble apologies to the owners. This painting appears to have been created on fiberboard 11 7/8″ x 11 7/8″ and is in a frame 16 5/8″ x 16 5/8″.  Both are in excellent condition (the frame is a bit dusty). Picture #1 shows the full front of the painting.  Picture #2 is the artist’s painted signature.  Picture #3 shows the back of the painting.  Picture #4 is the title of the painting and what I believe to be the artist’s signature in pencil on the back of the frame”.

Description by seller: “This is a unique piece of original art by Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel) that has been handed down to me as a family heirloom. This is a political cartoon, published in PM Newspaper. Before becoming the famous children’s author, Dr. Seuss was a political cartoonist for PM Newspaper from 1941 to 1943. My grandfather, Lowell Leake, was one of the original editors for this short-lived New York-based paper, and worked with Dr. Seuss as a colleague. When the newspaper went under, my Grandmother was helping to clean up the offices, and came across several of Dr. Seuss’s original cartoons in a trash bin–all of which had been published in PM. She saved them. Upon my Grandfather’s death, they were given to my Dad (Lowell Leake Jr.) in 1975”.

Description by seller: “Great original oil painting by Birger Sandzen (1871 -1954), its Oil On Board the painting size is “20 x 16” , the color and technique is so well done. Cirac 1928, I believe it was probably a painting used for students to study from. I have had many Birger sandzen paintings; by far this is my favorite. Comes with original Taos Frame, Condition: painting is in great condition, the board has a little warp to it ( Very common on paintings over 80 years old. In fact”.

Description by seller: “In this painting of excellent quality and delicate style, great example of the best Flemish painting is represented the Virgin and Child playing with the veil, the mantle of the Virgin and Child are painted with gorgeous style just by a teacher, virgin blouse has a very typical floral ornamentation gossaert, all this reflects the influence of the Italian Renaissance to reach Flanders”.
