    Description by seller: “This dramatic, mantle clock is constructed of gilt bronze, ormolu with hand painted Sevres enamel plaques & champleve enamel trim. The top features a domed urn wit Sevres cherub & raised gold trim. It has a pineapple finial & a square, champleve enamel base. The main body has six panels, four beveled glass & two Sevres enamel plaques. The plaques are artist signed (lower right “La Jean”) & feature a man & woman in 18th Century costume & are trimmed with raised gold. Each has champleve plaques top & bottom. There are four champleve columns on the corners”.

On a clock which is older than 110 years, these flaws  are truly minor and neither lowers the value nor interferes with its charisma”.
