    Description by seller: “Antique Turkish Hereke rug(signed, see pictures), approximate size: 6’ 8” x 10’ (208 cm x 308 cm) (not including fringes). This rug comes from the Hakim Family Estate. Simon Hakim brought this to the United States when he emigrated here from Syria”.

    Description by seller: “This  main carpet is one of those pieces which is very difficult to attribute to a specific tribe; several of the design features would point to an early age but touch and feel  says otherwise. The field contains three rows of nine  primary gols interspersed with  chemche secondary guls. The border is a mixture of kotchak crosses, single star and four star filled octagons.  An unusual feature  is found in some of the primary gols; there is  a single diamond  on each side above the bird bracket”.
