Description by seller: “Early Hires ceramic syrup dispenser–original incised “Hires” pump.  There are several variations of this dispenser–some are thicker-walled and pure white ceramic–this one is thinner-walled not as heavily glazed ceramic allowing the syrup stored inside to age, discolor, and give the dispenser a “mottled” look”.
