Google’s capital market value was estimated at approximately $155 billion on October of 2009. Since then, its traffic and market size has increased. Last year alone they generated a $29 billion profit indicating that its a major force to be reckoned with.

Ironically, in 1998 Larry Page and Sergey Brin the creators of Google felt it was best if they focused on their careers rather than on Google. It was just taking too much time away from their education. Consequently, that same year they offered Google to CEO George Bell for $1 million! Bell rejected the offer and later criticized Vindo Khosla for financing Page and Brin with $750 million when first launching Google worldwide.

Google isn’t just a search engine, it has also innovated several new features in recent years. Including gmail GoogNews Orkut Google Buzz Google+ Google Chrome Google Talk Picasa Android Galaxy and AddSense.

In August 19, 2004 Google made its initial stock offering of 19,605,052 shares at a price of $185 a share. After the sale Google had a capitalization of $23 billion. Many share holders including several of its original unwealthy employees became millionaires over night. Its’ competitor Yahoo also benefited from the sale as they owned 8.4 million shares of Google.

Its hard to put an exact price on the Google brand but some believe it can be worth as much as $200,000 Billion Dollars.
