Carlos Slim is currently the world’s richest individual in the planet. His net worth is approximately $75 billion. He is the owner of Telmex which is the biggest mobile telephone company in Mexico. Today he is 71 years old and he is also a large investor in many U.S. companies like Time Magazine, Phillip Morris etc. 
However, his parents were not Mexican as they fled Lebanon in the late 1800’s. Immediately Carlos father invested in small business like a local a grocery store in Mexico. From their he kept making smart investments and eventually became a millionaire over his lifetime.
He also taught his son Carlos Slim how to be a smart business man and how to save and plan his investments. Carlos Slim did just that and today that is just one of the reasons he is the wealthiest man in the planet.
