On December 11, 2012 a Zenith Waltons Radio Sold for $4,050.00 on eBay

The Seller rustee53629d described the item as: “A wonderful unrestored ZENITH 12-S-232 tube radio made in the US  around 1938.  This top of the line Zenith table model is commonly known as the Walton’s radio due to the radios appearance on many of their shows.  This massive table top model measures 23 inches high by 17 inches wide by 12 inches deep and weighs 35 pounds.  The serial number is R2440026, and the speaker serial number is 49-183AB, 670 ohms.  It is 3 broadband, broadcasting Standard, Foreign and Aviation.  The radio cabinet is in excellent, original condition and has only a few minor nicks and scratches, mostly on the one side.  There are no chips or cracks to the finish, the speaker cloth is original with no tears or damage, all knobs are the original wooden ones, and at one time the cord was replaced.  The two outside lower knobs are loose on the shafts and will need some attention.  The three band shutter dial works perfectly and has no wear whatsoever to any of the dials”

Definitely a very nice Radio that brought a lot of attention and a great price.
