It has all the scratches that a 54 year-old well-loved toy would have. My kids had many years of fun with this car, but they’re now in college and it deserves a new home”.

Description by seller: “PURSUIT PLANE pedal car.  This is one of the most popular and sought after post-war pedal toys.  As I understand the history behind these toys, they were first manufactured by Steelcraft in the early 1940’s.  WWII ended production as steel was needed for the war effort.  After the war, Steelcraft decided not to resume production of the toy.  In the late 1940’s, Murray began production.  This pursuit plane is a Murray which would put it’s manufacture date at +/-1948.  Note the dented, but in-tact chrome hub caps with the Murray logo.  Note also the front tires are original 10 x 1.75 Firestone“.
