Description by seller: “1955 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Roadster with 75,640 miles.  The classic ivory color exterior, flawless red leather interior, and black convertible top make for a definite eye catching combination.  With this being the first year of production for the 190SL there were only 1,727 units produced.    The Mercedes being offered for sale in this auction is number 152 of 1,727.  In 1999, the current owner purchased this Mercedes in restored condition from the prior owner, who resided in Kentucky.  Over the years the car has won 15 awards, including seven “First in Class” honors”.

Description by seller: “This is quite a nice car. Fully optioned cadillac… No a/c. Good paint with great shine. Body lines are all good-doors,trunk,and hood. Chrome and stainless are very nice. Leather interior is in excellent condition. Carpet is slightly faded,could be replaced to sharpen up the car. Dash is in great condition,dash is not cracked.
Horn ring is intact and steering wheel is nice. Engine fires right up and runs smoothly,no smoke”.

All metal hand-dollied and hand blocked prior to painting, paint wet-sanded and polished, all new body rubbers and seals installed on re-assembly.  Entire engine freshly rebuilt, with new pistons and bearings, carburetors freshly rebuilt, new clutch installed”.
