Description by seller: “It is marked Property of American Bell Telephone Co. Patented Mar 7,1876 Jan 30, 1877 Jan 15,1878 Apr 30,1878 Mar 29, 1879 May 27, 1879. Reissued Dec 14 1880. It also has the number 11334 stamped in the wood at the bottom. This set is missing the parts that go inside and the wood that covers the insides is not original. The piece that would have worked the switch/hook may not be original also”.

Definitely a cool collectible capturing the number one spot for the highest sold Telephone on eBay in the month of August 2013.

Description by seller: “This is a magnificent example of a rare and early wall telephone from 1881 with a Blake transmitter and Phelps Pony Crown Receiver. It has 2 boxes mounted on a thick wooden backboard – a generator box with a Phelps switch hook and Pony Crown Receiver and a Blake transmitter box . There are visible wires running between the boxes and terminals. The receiver has a small chip on the cap, the cord is quite frayed in places, otherwise the telephone seems to be complete and in pretty good condition for its age”.

Description by seller: “This is a magnificent example of a rare and early 3-box wall telephone from the early 1890’s with a Blake transmitter and red-band outside terminal receiver. It has a top box with generator and receiver hook, a middle transmitter box and a bottom box with battery shelf. It is missing the receiver cord which looks to have rusted away. The top terminals on the receiver are rusted solid. Otherwise the telephone seems to be complete and in pretty good condition for its age”.

Description by seller: “Estate purchased antique AMERICAN BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY Candlestick Telephone.  Pat’d dated July 9 – ’89; Nov. 17 – ’91 and Nov. 1 – ’92. We were called to help clean out Grandpa’s garage and this is one of the items.  I have no history.  SELLING AS IS / AS FOUND / UNTESTED”.

Description by seller: “Western Electric # 10 candlestick telephone, external switch, exposed post ear piece
the chrome on the phone is good there are a few spots where the chrome has worn, off, the cords all seem to be original with typical ware. the cap on the ear piece has some age bumps the shell seems to be in good shape no cracks, otherwise a good”.
